FRENCH WORK XVIII- XIXth century Louis XVI style architect's table à la tronchin in mahogany and mahogany veneer, rectangular shape, top sheathed and waffled in black leather, rack system, height and tilt adjustment, opening with a drawer in front and two side pulls, resting on four sheathed legs ending in gilded brass sabots. Stamped by Chapuis (1765-1864) Minor damage and missing parts, front right foot restored Size: 74 x 89 x 54 cm This piece of furniture owes its name "à la Tronchin" to Thédore Tronchin (1709-1781), an 18th-century physician.
