Text from the President of the Hotchkiss Club, to whom we extend our thanks: A rare and remarkable Hotchkiss Anjou 20 50, in its original black paint scheme. Registered as 4378 AD 13, it has never had its registration number changed, attesting to its use in the Bouches-du-Rhône department and to the meticulous care taken in preserving it. The bodywork is in excellent condition: no signs of impact or repairs, and no corrosion in the usual spots where it tends to form. The doors show no play and close perfectly—proof of a wooden frame that has not suffered from the passage of time, thanks to ideal conditions of use and storage. All body accessories are present and in perfect condition; there are no “aftermarket additions.” The exterior chrome—including the bumpers, trim strips, and emblems—requires only a thorough polish. Note that this Anjou 20 50 is equipped with small side running boards on both the left and right sides, which were designed to prevent dirt and splashes from reaching the rear fenders; Hotchkiss incorporated them in 1952, and in addition to this protective function, they elongate the Anjou’s silhouette. The interior upholstery, strictly original, is in very good condition and requires no work; the front seats are separate, allowing easy access to the floor-mounted gearshift lever, which is very easy to operate; the headliner and door trim are free of tears, and the handles, window levers, and deflectors are all present and complete. The dashboard, made of painted sheet metal with a wood-grain finish, is very attractive, and all the original buttons and pull tabs are in place. The engine compartment is in excellent condition and shows careful maintenance; all engine components are intact and show no signs of rust. This Anjou 20 50 is in remarkable condition and will bring great satisfaction to its new owner.
